Lovecrafted Pact

The user can make contracts with extraplanar entities to gain power.

To have a contract with an entity through lovecrafting, the user must barter broken pieces of their soul. When they die, their soul is broken into pieces and split between the beings in the contract. The user serves a signed entity that has given him; taboos to uphold; scriptures to follow; and the ability to invoke, embody, and manifest their essence into the mortal plane. Each lovecrafted contract must have the user offer at least one third of their soul, limiting them to a maximum of three contracts overall.

These beings do not like to be called into the mortal plane, even partially, and thus require a heavy payment from the user in the form of devotion and their right to an afterlife. They are three stages to this ritual - invoking, embodiment, and manifesting, from least powerful to most powerful. The more powerful the calling, the more difficult it is to get a being to agree to the summoning. This because once their essence is in the mortal plane, it takes 18 topics for the energy to return to them via diffusion. The exception to this is invocation, which only take a few seconds due to the effect being weak and therefore making the energy required to perform it easier to slip through the dimensional gap. At full power, each being can manifest three times eleven topics before they run out of the energy to do so, with embodiment taking about half the energy it does to manifest, the energy used to do so also taking half the time (6 topics) to return to the owner.

Invoking - A small mystical affect that the user can use freely. An asset in combat, it works much like a standard ability, albiet its very narrow and specific due to its secondary nature of this ability. The energy from these returns in just a moment, so the beings allow it without restriction as long as the contract is upheld and they are not completely out of energy.

Embodiment - the user takes on characteristics of the being and succumbs to an alignment shift, or at the very least a personality change, as the being asserts their personality onto the user. They physically change, gaining some form of natural weapon, and have an enhanced form of their invoking ability.

Manifestation - the user must fufill their scripture on the day they wish to manifest. The being summons of avatar that is just a piece of their total power. These are as powerful as it is difficult to fufill their scripture (listed in each description).

In addition, they also require passive energy from devotion and reverence.

J'Nah
A demonic horse-snake-human hybrid with eyes in its mouth. It preys on greed. This being holds rights to a third of the users soul after death.

Taboo: The user may not give away their money or services; there must always be a gainful exchange. Otherwise, they are not allowed to do anything for other people. The user must not deny a gainful exchange, or face the consequence of loss. They will lose all assets of monetary and politic value through misfortune - their house will burn down, their car will explode, their bank account will get deleted, etc. If the user does not lose at least 10,000 USD because of this, the contract is considered broken and they are killed. A gainful exchange must be officially requested by using the user's full name in a legally binding contract (or through the Invocation). Essentially, he is obligated to accept all formal applications of work. The only exception is when it would endanger his ability to make more gain, or if completing the contract would absolutely require his death (he must accept a mission even if it is sure to get him killed, as long as the contract does not state that they must kill themselves or leave themselves without the means to survive. If the intent of the contract is to provide two such outcomes, it is immediately voided and the party with such intent will face the consequence of loss (as described above).

Scripture: The user must hone a talent and make a living with it. To manifest J'nah, the user must be working or trading for financial gain, and calling her must be pivotal for making such a gain. (Killing a bountied target, destroying an obstacle in the road, obtaining an object, etc.)

Invocation: The user gains the power to create binding contracts. Both participants must fully understand each aspect of the contract before signing, or it will not take affect. Each contract has a set of requirements from both parties, punishment for breaching the requirements, and a duration. The punishment will find it's way to logical fruition within a week, without breaking the rules of the universe. The contract cannot be formed if the punishment or the requirements aren't achievable in a logical conclusion that conforms to universal rules.

Embodiment: The user calls on the power of J'Nah. He gains the beings head and neck anatomy (as described in Manifestation) that can be used as a blunt weapon, an extra set of eyes, and a biting force that easily crushes bone. The neck hits as hard as a moving car. They gain a thick skin and can take damage that they are able to deal consistently. (A strike from his own head would feel like a punch/kick from on
